Ice-Pick Headaches

Here’s a superfunhappy thing that comes along every now and then.

Ice Pick Headaches.

Bet you never heard of these fun little rascals. They get their name from the way it feels like a steel prod is being driven into your skull.

Typically I get them no more than a few times a week, just a sudden jab, a convulsion of pain, and then its gone. Normally they last no more than a second.

Not today though. I’m getting them every few minutes – a sudden stabbing blinding pain that shoots through my head, originating just above and behind my right ear. And not only are they coming in horible regularity, but they’re lasting up to 5 seconds at a time, so I get to experience them to their fullest.

It’s leaving me quite nauseous and weak. I want to go home and close all the blinds and wrap bandages around my head and lay down under blankets in the back of a closet with the whole world locked out.

Instead I have to work because I was off the last two days and have a backlog to get through.

  1. I’m sorry you’re sick 🙁

Do you think Terracotta was worth the backlog of work?

Yeah, it was fun, nice to get out for a little touring and silliness. Too bad it was just a day-pass.
