I (Heart) My Aquarium

I’m sitting here in some partial darkness and I truly (heart) my aquarium. I love how it looks right now. I did a good cleaning last night, and added another plant this afternoon. Right now the water is crystal clear, the fishies and snailies are acting happy, and everything just looks hoopy.

Props to my sister for giving me the 23 gallon tank.  If only it were a 30. Or a 50. I’m addicted. More fish! More snails!

My Aquarium Right Now

I also (heart) my new camera. It’s super cool, and props to Kimberly for telling me something cool about editing RAW images.  Yay! Happy happy happy.

No matter how stressful work gets, my fishies and snailies help make it better. Wine doesn’t hurt either.

Cheers!

    RAW rules the world!!!

I have a tank that currently has no fishes, the last resident having been donated to a friend in sever need of a beta fish. I was just going to close it down and store it until I had a space more conducive to tank. However, there are five million little baby snails that seem to have spawned since the absence of Beta Fish, and now I feel a tank clean out and storage would be something akin to genocide. I don’t know what to do!!

Oooh I’m all knowledged-up with snail info. Got any pictures of the snail infestation? Sounds like they could be the Dang Pond Snail (Pondsnailius dangii). There’s a few pond snail species, and most are considered “pests” for aquarists. You could get a little loach, they just love snails… love em for breakfast, lunch, dinner… 🙂

    Nice flickr pages, great pics!
