Loafers Lake

After I’d given up on photography for the day, the sun came out! So I got in a little photo expedition after all. Not too far afield this time as it was a late start, but I went to a local conservation area / park called Loafers Lake. As with the earlier pictures today, these were all taken with the 30mm f/1.4 prime lens. The majority were taken with a moderate aperture, around 5.6 to 8.

Cheers!

Rainy Day Photos

I had planned to go on another little excursion today to do some more photography, but Mother Nature had other ideas. So instead, I stayed under the shelter of my back & front porches and did what I could.

I took a few dozen shots, but these four really stood out. All were taken with a 30mm f/1.4 lens, wide open, and at shutter speeds ranging from 1/30 to 1/90. Other than resizing, the images have not been altered in any way.

Snail Convention

I noticed that my three apple snails had got together for a private huddle inside one of the ‘caves’. No idea what they were discussing, but it seemed fairly amicable.

It’s also good to see the blue snail’s growth, s/he has gotten as big as Speed Racer, or maybe even bigger now.
