Dingoo Serial Port Step-by-Step

I added another serial port to another Dingoo and this time I took pics of the process all along the way.

Click the thumbnails for enlarged images and details.

P.s. I forgot to publish this earlier, sorry for the delay.

Do you have any documentation about the ports? I have the Idea of controlling an Atmega chip with my Dingoo. But I have no clue howto. 😉
    Bytheway thanks for this TuT

There’s two ‘ports’ that come to mind which you could use.

The first is the serial port, it is unused, so if your atmega chip has a uart you could communicate via serial.

The second is an i2c interface; the Dingoo has i2c and it is easy to tap into that at the fm radio chip. If your atmega chip can use i2c then that should work too.

Hello. I really admire your tech skills, and now need a bit of information, before I begin.

Please tell me, what levels are the signals on TP (RxD & TxD), photo 2?

    Are they 5V or 3.3V TTL/CMOS or +/- 12V RS-232C?

    1. Stephanie says:

The voltage levels on the serial port are 3.3v.

    thank you!
