Master Control Project » MCP Installed

To keep the MCP secure, I used screws to fasten the lower half of a plastic Arduino enclosure into a storage space in the top part of my desk, above my computer. The stack of Arduino & shields then slips down into this enclosure which holds it still. At the back is the bundle of cables – USB, DC power, and two Cat-5 cables – blue for Ethernet and grey for the Patch shield. Next to all this is the Geiger Counter kit, connected to & powered by the Arduino itself. Upside-down at the top is the XBee. It is positioned so that its antenna is vertically polarized, and has line-of-sight to other devices in my house. Finally, the two LCD displays are mounted on the wood of the desk. Ultimately there will be an acrylic faceplate that the displays get mounted on.
