Yay! More solder!
When I found the first egg clutch, my reaction was “Yay!” but by the fourth, it was more like “Oh, crap…”
I’m going to have to start destroying egg clutches, I don’t have the resources to raise several hundred babies. Still, I’d like some coloured ones – the first two clutches produced nothing but gold / light coloured snails. And this newest clutch does look ‘darker’, making me wonder if it was perhaps laid by one of the other snails.
On the left is the third clutch, now 10-days old. On the right is the fourth clutch, just laid last night.
Just got home from a long, exhausting, stressful day at work, to discover that the second snail-egg-clutch was all busy hatching.
Lots of wee little snail babies in the breeding net. They all look like more golden babies, like the first lot.
I’m too tired though to get excited and take pictures and stuff.
Last night I had the TV on, providing some background noise, when I heard a commercial ask, “Do you have what it takes to run a TV station?”
I don’t know if they were advertising a new show, or a contest, or a video game, or whatever – after they asked the question my brain tuned it out as I immediately thought to myself, I have a wheelchair and a fedora – of course I have what it takes to run a TV station!
Then I thought to myself, woah that was an obscure TV reference.
So here we go:
Ready? And…. go!
I was just trying to figure out when the November long weekend was – I mean, the month is half over and there hasn’t been a long weekend yet.
That’s when it hit me – there is no November long weekend.
To me, this seems like some terrible oversight on someone’s part. I had to dig up a calendar and start searching, to find out what was going on.
I’m seeing the need here for 3 additional long weekends. All Hallows day in November, Summer Solstace in June, and then in March/April we should peg Eostre down in one month (how about march, for the vernal equinox?) and add another holiday in April.
Every month needs a long weekend! Right?
Yeah I’m addicted. I couldn’t resist. I adopted two more snailies, a pair of wee little golden snails. They’re somewhere between dime-sized and nickle-sized.
This one was busy moving the plaster puck feeder when Speed Racer decided to bid a big friendly Welcome! by jumping on the puck and trying to smush the poor little gold snail.
