Dr. Bleep says “…there are not nearly enough beeping, zapping, bixxerfouping, anthropomorphic synthesizer monsters in the world.”

I wholeheartedly agree, so I just ordered one for myself.

Things That Go Bump In The Afternoon

Posted 2006.07.02 0.00 in Spiritual by Stephanie

First a little bit of back-story: My house was built in the 1860s, there’s a lot of history in this old place, and a lot of ‘activity’. I’ve seen and heard a lot of interesting things, and had other sensitives tell me they’ve picked up a lot of energies here too. A few have specifically reported that they felt this house was some kind of way-station or crossover point, a little like a train platform – lots of comings and goings.

I’m not trying to convince people of anything, folks will believe what they want. Explanations, scientific or spiritual, are equally relevant: People go with the explanations that they are most comfortable with. For some, it’s scientific, for others, it is skeptic, and for a few, it is something Else. I’m in that last group, I’ve seen, heard, and experienced things that have convinced me to accept phenomina at face value.

I think I’ll probably make note in the future of other things, when they occur, so if you are interested, stay tuned.

So back to the story at hand. Yesterday was Canada Day (Happy Canada Day!) and I had some people over for a BBQ. Friends, family, nothing too big, just a fairly small do.

We were all outside, but one of my guests went in the house to use the facilities. She came out a few minutes later, came over to me and asked if I’d ever had anything ‘happen’ with the WC. Like what? I asked. Appearantly, the knob had turned and the door opened, all by itself, while she was in there. And there was nobody else in the house.

Now, I haven’t had that specific thing happen to me, but a lot of other things happen around here. Interestingly, there is very little repetition – in other words, we don’t really get the same thing happening over and over. About the only thing that is distinct and recurring, is the Pots-and-Pans-Crashing-Noise.

Every so often, perhaps once a month or every other month, in the middle of the night, is a terrific crashing noise from the kitchen. It sounds like a stack of pots and pans has been knocked onto the floor. The thing is, there is no stack of pots and pans, nothing is ever physically disturbed, it’s just the sound that happens. That noise has happened 4 or 5 times, over the past 6 or 8 months.

Where Are You Going? What Was That Noise?

When I moved out of my parents’ house and into my own place a few years ago, the two questions I never wanted to hear again were “Where are you going?” and “What was that noise?”

You know, like when you are going out ‘somewhere’ at ‘three in the morning’ and you don’t want to ‘explain yourself’ to ‘anyone’. There’s just, you know, stuff to do, somewhere.

And, you know, if you have to, say, whack a piece of furniture with a hammer — or more likely, a sword, or maybe you decide to make some minor structural changes to your bedroom — again, at 3am — then there’s always someone wanting to know what that noise was.

I mean, really.

If it was something they needed to know, they’d know about it. The fireman would tell them, or the cop, or the paramedic. Someone official would show up and explain the noise to them. No officials means the noise was ‘nothing’ and they ‘shouldn’t worry about it’.

Now, if you’ll excuse me, I have to go ‘out’.
